Chloe as a Reader:
Chloe believes that she is a very big reader. She learned to read by being read to then reading with her parents. As she grew older, she began to read more and more on her own. Being transported to different worlds with a variety of characters have always made her happy. People read for vastly different reasons, whether it be for pleasure or for work. Reading something that interests and makes them think is a reason that many people read. In order to be a "good" reader, you must first enjoy yourself and have an open mind. Chloe finds it easiest to read when she can make connections with the text and fully emerge herself into what she is reading. She finds it hardest to read when she does not understand what point the author is trying to get across. Chloe chooses books that sound different from other books. She likes reading about different topics and ideas and gets bored when reading about one topic for too long. She looks for books that will make her think about the world around her. She also likes books about cliche nonsense every once in a while. She likes classic literature, science fiction, fantasy, and realistic fiction. Reading at home is a regular thing for Chloe, whether it be a novel or fanfiction. She finds it relaxing after a long day. Reading helps us understand that the world is not as simple as black and white, there are many different views on many different subjects and it is your job to figure out how you view things.
Chloe as a Writer:
Chloe loves to write whether it be fiction or nonfiction. She learned how to write by writing down her experiences and that slowly evolved to other genres as she got older. People write for many different reasons including escapism and spreading ideas. In order to write well, the author has to understand their audience and the point of their writing. They need to keep their audience interested and compel them to read on. An uninterested reader won't like and feel the need to finish a work of writing. Chloe prefers to write fiction but is just as good at writing nonfiction. She is inspired by other works and ideas that make her think. Chloe loves harsh constructive criticism for her writing. She likes to know what you like and what sounds awkward and strange. She loves to peer edit other papers as well. Chloe doesn't write that much at home. She has countless number of ideas that she really needs to write down. But when she does write, she makes countless changes and even when its done, she still wants to edit and revise. But that is what makes a writer a writer.
