Welcome back! Senior year! Woohoo! The first week back was a breeze filled with pretests and syllabi. I know for sure that this class will be my most challenge class of my AP filled schedule. I know that math is not my strong suit, but with hard work and dedication, I know I will do fine. I think that the set up of the class is really going to help me excel. I really like how the pods and class can work together to solve the harder questions. The spiral testing is also a very good idea and will definitely help me to remember older concepts. I know that I am a kinesthetic learner. By seeing and interacting instead of being lectured, the concepts will really stick into my mind and I feel like this class is perfect for me in that sense. These blogs also will be a great help for organizing my thoughts on what we did each week. Going through the pre-req packet was a major wake up call. After a summer of lazing about and binge watching Netflix, I definitely need some reminding on how to do most of the packet. Though I recognize all of the problems, it is a little discouraging that I do not remember how to do them. Natural logs and asymptotes are some of the topics that I know I know how to but have been buried deep into my brain. But with a little help and more time, I am pretty sure that
I will remember and be good to go. Remembering how to do some of the concepts, such as quadratics, algebra manipulation, and volume, is encouraging though. I am very glad that the test was moved back until Tuesday and that half the hour Monday will be used for review. Over the weekend, I will most definitely be looking at review on the internet such as this webpage: http://www.coolmath.com/precalculus-review-calculus-intro/. I feel confident that I will be well prepared for the AP test in May and hope for a good year.
